In Berlin, clean technologies represent both a long tradition and the very future of the city. 35 percent of all solar modules made in Germany are already produced in the Berlin area. The Clean Tech Business Park Berlin-Marzahn offers the best conditions for ensuring that this percentage will soon increase. Thanks to the city’s state-sponsored infrastructure and low investment costs, as well as the park’s proximity to the Berlin Adlershof Science and Technology Park, this 90-hectare site offers ideal conditions for companies involved in clean-tech industries. Berlin – the place to be for future industries.

Clean Tech Business Park Berlin-Marzahn

The new Clean Tech Business Park is set up on 90 hectares and offers an ideal location specially designed for production-oriented companies active in the solar industry and clean tech sector. Their suppliers and service providers also have attractive commercial space for rent or purchase available to them in the direct vicinity. Clean technologies have a long tradition in Germany, and now, three strong partners have joined together to encourage ongoing dynamic development in the sector. With the help of the Berlin Senate and the Berlin Partner business development agency, the Berlin Borough Council of Marzahn-Hellersdorf has created an initiative in the northeastern part of Berlin that offers solar and clean tech companies ideal all-round conditions at the brand-new Clean Tech Business Park Berlin-Marzahn.

In addition to concentrated know-how and a first-class infrastructure, the Clean Tech Business Park Berlin-Marzahn supports investing companies with active on-location business development services. The park’s strategic location helps to reduce investment costs and gives companies key competitive advantages by means of a rapid time-to-market for products.

be active, be ambitious, be berlin

In 1995, when I first began working in business development at the borough council of Marzahn-Hellersdorf, I would never have believed that I would share responsibility for one of the most ambitious urban development projects talked about in Berlin. The Clean Tech Business Park here in the eastern part of Berlin is set to become the largest industrial area in the city. This project involves us working on international terrain, and we are very active on the scene. We’ve also been able to gain acceptance and to communicate at eye-level with the various industry players. At first, the Clean Tech Business Park was only an idea. But now I can show that there are indeed “public administrators” who are creative and more than able to successfully pursue new paths for development and growth. I’m convinced that the new Clean Tech Business Park will offer enormous opportunities for business in the borough and for the entire Berlin-based industrial field. And I’m proud to work every day on this project and to create something that will last.

Christian Gräff, Clean Tech Business Park Berlin-Marzahn:

"The development of the Clean Tech Business Park marks Berlin’s ongoing commitment to pursuing new paths for development and growth. The project is set to create the conditions necessary for the city to become a model location for production-oriented companies active in the solar industry and clean-tech sector. Indeed, Berlin offers a perfect package: the city has the resources, locations, training and research capacities and workforce that modern industries will need in the coming years and decades. Plus, all of this is being offered by one of the most attractive cities in the world"
