Kathrin Rüdiger, Head of Business Development at the Marzahn-Hellersdorf Borough Council and Project Coordinator for the Clean Tech Business Park Berlin-Marzahn
be active, be ambitious, be berlin
In 1995, when I first began working in business development at the borough council of Marzahn-Hellersdorf, I would never have believed that I would share responsibility for one of the most ambitious urban development projects talked about in Berlin. The Clean Tech Business Park here in the eastern part of Berlin is set to become the largest industrial area in the city. This project involves us working on international terrain, and we are very active on the scene. We’ve also been able to gain acceptance and to communicate at eye-level with the various industry players. At first, the Clean Tech Business Park was only an idea. But now I can show that there are indeed “public administrators” who are creative and more than able to successfully pursue new paths for development and growth. I’m convinced that the new Clean Tech Business Park will offer enormous opportunities for business in the borough and for the entire Berlin-based industrial field. And I’m proud to work every day on this project and to create something that will last.
