The Test Training

Many Berliners participated in the competition, but only five lucky winners were invited to take part in the eRockit test training on Sunday.

Berlin Tempelhof. The runway of Berlin’s former Tempelhof Airport is transformed into an eRockit test track. These five motorbike enthusiasts get an introduction from eRockit head Stefan Gulas – and then they’re off. Instead of the roar of a loud motorbike, the eRockit gives off more of a soft, howl-like sound. The goal of the winning test drivers is to stay in their lanes and drive around the red and white cones.

As experienced motorcyclists, the test drivers already know all about rapid acceleration, but riding an eRockit is a completely different feeling. In fact, an eRockit can reach a speed of 80 km/h in three seconds.

All winners successfully completed the training and are now qualified to be test drivers in the eParade. The parade is part of the “Bibendum Challenge,” one of the most important events relating to the theme of innovative mobility.
