Berlin Days in Moscow – from May 23 to 29
Berlin loves Moscow. Moscow loves Berlin. Join be Berlin and get your message featured on the Brandenburg Gate! In 2011, Berlin and Moscow have celebrateted the 20th anniversary of their city partnership. This provided the perfect occasion for the be Berlin capital city marketing campaign to organize a very special event during the upcoming “Berlin Days” in Moscow.
From May 23 to 29, 2011, a large-scale replica of one of Berlin’s most famous landmarks, the Brandenburg Gate, was on display in the Russian capital. The roughly 6 x 5 meter model is designed first and foremost to represent the German capital in Moscow. At the same time, however, the Berlin Days also offered Muscovites and Berliners the unique opportunity to send a personal message to the partner city in the form of a three-part phrase (“be…, be …, be berlin”). Selected messages and the names of their senders were featured on digital screen on the Brandenburg Gate on Strastnoi Boulevard.
