He looks like a human being – and he acts like one too. This humanoid robot was developed at the Beuth Hochschule für Technik Berlin
Myon had his most recent big appearance in June/July, when he set the tone at the Komische Oper Berlin. He enthralled audiences in "My Sqare Lady."
This humanoid robot is currently on a global tour with "Pop into Berlin," which entertains visitors in a playful manner in different European cities. Myon encourages people of all walks of life to participate and provides them with unique insights into Berlin's innovative startup scene by means of a virtual tour.
Myon was "born" in the neuro-robotic research lab at the Beuth Hochschule für Technik Berlin. His intellectual and technical father is Prof. Dr. Manfred Hild. At a height of 1.25 meters, Myon is roughly as tall as a seven year-old child. But the truly special thing about this little Berliner is that he is capable of independent learning – just like a human being. With his camera eye, he can perceive his environment and process it visually. In doing so, he also learns what it means to feel human and express emotions.
As a small star at the Komische Oper Berlin, Myon has already won the hearts of audiences. And no doubt this is already the case on the international tour of "Pop into Berlin."
